There's a fantastic version of the Sherlock theme on accordion - you can listen to it here:

It's very Parisian, non? So I got a bit silly and did this:

Photobucket

Medium: Sharpie and Pilot on copy paper. I originally did it in pencil, but I had to re-draw it in marker because our scanner hates pale repros.

Oh! Translation: You have the brain of a cheese sandwich. That's what happens when you google "French insults."

too lazy to translate a clever response in French. :(

it's adorable. (and I'm pleased with myself that I was able to translate in my head without cheating) :)

Thank you! I know "cheese sandwich" but that's about it. ;)

Oh, I wonder if I misspelled it or if that was the translator! Probably me. :)

Thank you!

Actually Sherlock would be likelier to say "Un sandwich au fromage a plus de cellules grises que vous!"

From: [identity profile] splix.livejournal.com
Of course I had to stick that into Translator - hee! You're probably right.

OMG it sounds like musette *crappy memories of crappy weddings come up* yuck!
Also: the striped jumper looks very 1940s/1950s :D so old-fashioned Parisian :-p he has to have a boat, maybe even a péniche *smirks*

I think he might have borrowed John's jumper, actually. :D

No, no, the striped jumper is very edgy, very Gaultier.

It is unisex, and known as a "marinière".

Gaultier got them from Breton fishermen, didn't he?

Absolutely; but then so did Chanel before him! And Bardot, and Picasso... it's a timeless classic.

Er,y e,s that is why I thought of decades long gone and a boat... ^_^ I know Gaultier re-used it, I also know it's not quite new :-)

Parisian fan here, grinning like mad!

(Our most popular sandwich is actually called "le Parisien" - basic jambon-beurre, or ham on buttered baguette, but we do have cheese sandwiches. Damnit, you're making me hungry.)

Honestly, that's a lovely drawing. If you ever want to make a Parisian series, especially with Lestrade and Sherlock, or M'sieur Moriarty, I'd be happy to help with the French.

I'm partial to a nice croque-monsieur myself. :D

Thank you, I'm glad you like it! I'll have to think about it - that might be fun. :D

You made my day donchaknow? I adore accordian even if I can't spell and refuse to learn! Really, except for the part where I am a little envious that you can draw and it never enters my brain to try!!!!!!! Ta darlin'.

That's lovely! :D I'm not French, but have been there multiple times and know some locals (including one accordion player - only the French can make one of those be a musical instrument!)

I like the way the scarf stays with the outfit.

I've never been! Someday, perhaps - lucky you! Glad you liked it, thank you - and yes, the scarf goes with everything! :D

Maybe he has to spend time in Paris while he's "dead," and it's a disguise :D He does NOT look happy.

It is very Parisian. I love it.

Your drawing is awesome and adorable!

I just finished watching an episode of Sherlock, The Blind Banker, which I loved and which naturally reminded me of you, so I came over to see what you were up to. Also have followed you on tumblr. :D

Glad you liked The Blind Banker. I will look for you on tumblr tomorrow! I only go on at work because my connection at home is so slow.

Oh, I adore it! Sherlock looks so displeased with his current predictament, I wonder who's at the receiving end of his insult. Probably Anderson's French counterpart XD
Lovely drawing, it made me smile.
