"We’ll disable the detonator, Jedi – but only if you take the boy. We’ll watch." One filthy hand caressed his imprisoned padawan’s shoulder, then slid down to fondle his hip.
Qui-Gon ignited his lightsaber. "That’s no bargain at all," he said softly.
"Too bad. It’s the only choice you’ve got."
Qui-Gon ground his teeth in frustration and scrutinized his apprentice. The boy’s mouth was red, a pouting, thrusting flower, his eyes blue as a summer sea, his body pliant, achingly young.
He could not deny that he had long desired this very opportunity.
Xanatos watched closely, his eyes aglow with anticipation.
