Wow. I didn't know there was a prequel to the other Pillow Book fic. This is VERY effective writing, Alex. As much as an addict of imperiled!Ewan as I am, this is difficult to read - and I mean that in the best way possible. You really pull no punches, and I think that is the sign of a great writer. The characterizations are excellent, especially considering the bizarre presentations we're given in the film.
Still....is it wrong of me to want to bundle up Jerome in blankets and feed him soup? He is vain and superficial and foolish, but he's so. damn. pretty. That perfect little body. Ngh. I can't help but want some strong, wise, silent man to come love him all better. *is hopeless*
