Oh, thank you so much, I'm just thrilled that you're enjoying it and that it resonates. I grew up in the area I'm writing about - total coal country, strip mines, underground mines, abandoned breakers were all a part of my childhood. And my grandfather was one of those breaker boys - terrible, cooping children up in the dark and working them nine, ten hours a day. It's a subject really close to my heart, and I loved doing the research and trying to capture the atmosphere of the times. Seems you know a good bit about it too. Thank you again.
