Thank you! Yes, that's exactly what I tried to capture about him, though you put it much better than I did - "dumb as a stump" I think was the phrase I might have used. And it wasn't that he was unintelligent - he was just too confident in his own charms, playing Nagiko and the publisher [Yachi-san, he called him] off each other without understanding that it would eventually blow up in his face.
