That was heart-breaking, I am so sorry for both of them, especially knowing they can't even kiss each other propely in public. So brave of Jim to try and get back, but I amquite glad they didn't let him. I think things would be even more difficult then for Jamie.
That was quite a trick, his parents pulled on him. Luckily Charlotte seems a very nice girl, even though she's not for Jamie.
It makes you feel depressed, thinking about that horrible, unnessecary war and what it did to a lot of young men and their families at home.
