Oh my goodness, you actually made me feel bad for Merrick! Poor man. ^_~ I actually didn't see this ending coming, and I quite like how Nikolai, who should technically be even less in touch with his morals, is the one who does the right thing. And that ending... *snicker* I do love how, after releasing the clones and making the grand gesture, the two of them fall back on their baser desires. *G* Wonderful!
