I have Scottish Covenanter ancestry and didn't know that there were English Covenanters at the beginning of the twentieth century in Yorkshire...lots of non-Conformist Protestants of various sorts. There were Scottish Covenanters who emigrated to the Philadelphia area around 1717, so perhaps that gives your Sean a place to go towards.
