Philip is just horrible. I do quite like the way he calls Jamie 'sprat', although it would of course be nicer if it were actually meant with more affection. I can't believe it's been two years apart for the boys, but at least the war is over - that was really well told; I got that sense of shock and then relief and joy that it might really finally have ended.
