I just re-read this for the maybe fifth time and found that I never commented on it. Bad me.
So. This is so great, so absolutely breathtakingly sad and sweet, and brought me to tears, again. I've read all of your Alec/Nikolai fics and love them, but this is a special one, because here, Alec is so open, not caught between his desire and the need to protect his operation.
And while I usually have a soft spot for Kirill, I can see him deteriorate into a more violent and unstable behavior, once the pressure on him increases. Hope to read more!
