This works so well on a lot of levels, particularly in terms of picturing the youth on the verge of being a man, trying out adult ways, sometimes succeeding, sometimes not and there's a touching mix of arrogance and humility. We see your Aragorn through his eyes and at first he's rather two dimensional because Boromir is trying to assess and to reach out to him with a youth's understanding, whereas in the final scene the balance is more even - Aragorn has come into his own and is a fully rounded figure. thanks for letting us share Mooms' splendid gift.
